About the artist

Rachel (Rae) is an award winning Tattoo artist and freelance illustrator residing in Portland, Oregon. After moving from Austin, Texas in 2010 to attend the Pacific Northwest College of Art, Rachel graduated in the Spring of 2014 with a BFA in Fine Arts and Illustration. In 2020, she changed course from using her artistic skills in freelance illustration, make up artistry and cosmetics, to learning how to and follow her passion to tattoo under some of the best and most prolific artists in the Pacific Northwest, and became licensed in the craft in summer 2022.

Rachel draws influences from her childhood love of Japanese animation and comics, her international taste in music, and love of fashion and dance. A love of bold line-work and eye-popping colors are a staple in her work both on skin and digitally. She also loves to paint, sew, screen-print and use markers in her personal sketchbook work.

Her work has been featured at Tattoo conventions, International Art galleries, curated online galleries, as designs for public performance groups, digital app assets, and in publications of collaborative art zines.
