Old Japanese story, the “Boy who drew cats,” modernized into being, “The Boy who tagged cats.”

Story: the boy that drew cats is about a young boy named Gon, (sometimes Joji?) who lived in his small village and drew cats all the time. His parents sent him away to a temple to try and get him to stop and to continue his life in a normal manner. While at the temple, the priests couldn’t get him to stop, so they sent him away. While trying to get home, Gon found an abandoned temple with huge sprawling walls, and drew some cats above him before he fell asleep. While sleeping, some demon rats that lived in the temple came to attack him, but the cats that he had drawn killed them. When he awoke in the morning, the cats he had drawn were spattered in blood, and he swore he would only draw cats for the rest of his life.
